{Day five}

We had to shove so much into our last day, so we were on the run!

We first went to Ford's Theater, where President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.It was sad! We also saw the actual gun that John Wilkes Booth shot him with.

Next, we ran over to the wax museum! Everything looked so real, and we had a blast being celebrities for about an hour.

Then we hurried over to the National Archives! They wouldn't let us take any pictures, but we saw the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution! I had no idea the Constitution was 4 pages long!!

Lastly we went to the US History Smithsonian Museum. We were able to see Michael Jackson's hat that he preformed the moonwalk in for the very first time in, and Dorothy's Ruby Red Slippers! We were in love.

Lincoln was on the right side of the box, holding his wife's hand when he was shot.

{Day four in DC}

Definitely one of my favorite days!
We visited Mount Vernon, which is where George Washington lived. He had so much land, and a beautiful home! I learned so much about him and the amazing person he was. I swear i didn't know anything before this trip.
We also went to Alexandrea, an old town about 15 minutes away. We were able to eat at "Gadsby's Tavern", where George once celebrated his birthday and went to a few other parties! It was such a fun place to eat, and I ate the most delicious hamburger. YUMM. I barely even like hamburgers!

Stupid Green Guys. Did they have to be cleaning his house RIGHT then??

 His backyard.. he had SUCH a pretty view!

Yes, George is in that. He's all bones by now but still.. little creepy.

 They did all this crazy computerized stuff and that is supposed to be him at age 19. He's hot.
Are we cute?

And age 40.

 Gadsby's Tavern!
P.S.. we got cheesecake. It was the best i ever had. I am craving it just thinking about it.

{Day three}

Monday was an awesome day!
First we went to the Air and Space Smithsonian Museum! I absolutely loved all the stuff in there.
Next, we had a tour at the US Capitol Building. Amazing. Did you know that the Statue of Liberty can fit inside of it? From the floor to the top of the dome? I didn't know that either. Pretty crazy.
Lastly, we went to the Library of Congress.
We ate lunch at Pop Belly's Sandwich shop and it was so good!

Air and Space Museum:
The very first Hubble to orbit the Earth!

 Amelia Earhart's plane that she flew across the Atlantic Ocean!

The Capitol Building:

 Lady Freedom!
 The very center of DC!

Statue of  Brigham Young in the Capitol Building! Cool huh?

The Library of Congress:

Do Lex and Ayns look extra happy or is it just me?? :)
We had a blast!

{Day 1} in Washington D.C!

  • Our flight was a red-eye flight... we slept the whole way. We have no idea how because the plane was so uncomfortable! Good thing we slept though because we arrived at six-thirty in the morning. We went to my cousins, got ready, and headed out for the day!
  • We visited all the monuments, memorials, and the white house. It was freezing. It was so cool to see everything!
